The supervisor for a landscape center is responsible for coordinating staff members with a common goal of having all daily functions/tasks completed with a team mentality. This includes organization of the center by training and mentoring team members. This position requires an individual who can multitask and motivate a team. The Yard Supervisor must demonstrate dedication to exceptional customer service and build strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
Responsibilities and Duties
Sales
- Supervise sales team and equipment operators
- Participate in the onboarding of staff
- Provide training to cashiers and equipment operators
- Assign team members to daily duties
- Evaluate performance and provide feedback
- Process sales transactions, in person and manage online, and phone orders
- Handle customer inquiries and address issues
- Maintain up to date contractor records and accounts
- Assist in preparing sales proposals/quotes for contractors and customers
- Load customer vehicles and company trucks with bulk aggregates, boulders and pallets
- Work closely with delivery team to ensure completion of scheduled deliveries
- Check inventory and organize orders for delivery
- Perform inventory management activities, such as spot checks, receiving and data entry
- Keep yard organized and in a clean manner
- Perform the same duties as team members supervised and other duties, as assigned by Manager

Required Qualifications and Skills
- High School diploma, 3+ years retail/sales experience
- Experience with supervision of staff
- Class 5 drivers license, class 3 drivers license is an asset
- Experience in the landscaping industry required, product knowledge is an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills, ability to multitask, and attention to detail
- Positive attitude and professional
- Strong work ethic, and ability to lead and mentor a team
- Ability to work in high pressure environment

- $22 - $24 per hour
